The iSimangaliso Wetland Park has a number of self-catering options available to visitors to its various camps. These facilities range from basic huts to safari tents and log cabins.
The Nhlonhlela Bush Camp in uMkhuze and the Bhangazi Bush Camp on the Eastern Shores are exclusive 8-bed facilities and guests can enjoy the services of a resident cook.
Self-catering options are available at Kosi Bay, Sodwana Bay, uMkhuze, False Bay, Cape Vidal and Maphelane.
Three self catering units are set spaciously apart in the Kosi Bay camp. These units have two beds, five beds and 6 beds respectively, and are all equipped with their own living areas and outside braai facilities.
The Mantuma Camp in uMkhuze consists of 2 x 6-bed cottages, 4 x 2-bed cottages, 5 x 4-bed cottages, 6 x 2-bed rest huts, 10 x 2-bed safari tents and 3 x 4-bed safari tents.
There is also has a swimming pool for camp residents, and the Rhin-o-Dino provides a catering option for breakfast, lunch and early supper. Limited supplies can be purchased from the camp reception office.
The Nhlonhlela Bush Camp is an 8-bed camp, with a resident cook and guide service available.
The Dugandlovu Camp consists of 4 x 4-bed rustic huts and a communal ablution and cooking facility.
There are a number of self catering options at Cape Vidal. Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife runs these facilities. The main Cape Vidal camp consists of 18 x 5-bed log cabins and 11 x 8-bed log cabins.
The Bhangazi Bush Lodge is an 8-bed bush lodge with a resident cook to assist with catering requirements.
There are 10 x 5-bed log cabins at Maphelane, some of which have ocean views, others being set in the coastal forest.
