Invitation to comment on iSimangaliso’s draft Integrated Management Plan and attend open days

The iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority invites you to provide input and comment on the draft Integrated Management Plan (IMP), relevant to the years 2022–2031. The IMP is a strategic framework plan for decision making that has been drafted in terms of the World Heritage Convention Act 1999 (Act No.49 of 1999) and the South African National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act, 2003 (Act 57 of 2003). It provides the integrated management tools for iSimangaliso, including spatial planning measures.
In an effort to ensure all interested parties are provided an opportunity to comment, iSimangaliso will also host a series of open public days, during which you are invited to view relevant information and discuss any aspects of the IMP with iSimangaliso staff and their IMP consultant team.
The open days will be held on the following dates and venues from 9am – 12pm:
30th September – Anew Hotel, Hluhluwe 1st October – Mbazwana Art Centre, Mbazwana 2nd October – Tembe Hall, Manguzi 5th October – Ghost Mountain Inn, Mkhuze 6th October – Siyabonga Centre, St Lucia Your attendance will be highly appreciated.

Please note that comments on the IMP are due by 31 October 2020.
