Taking a walk along one of iSimangaliso’s many designated walking trails is the best way to see the magnificent game animals that call the Park home. The absence of a noisy 4×4 safari vehicle ensures that the animals won’t be disturbed – and being accompanied by one of our highly trained armed guides ensures peace-of-mind, just in case you should happen to encounter any of the park’s predatory inhabitants.

Thonga Beach Lodge
Luxury lodge set in a secluded dune forest with stunning coastal views. Situated only metres from the beach and a 25 minute drive from Lake Sibaya, Thonga Beach Lodge is nestled into beautiful coastal dune forest above secluded Mabibi Bay with sweeping views of the beach below. Shoreline Boat Safaris & Turtle Tours
South Africa’s first World Heritage site offers one an opportunity to witness hippos wallowing and Nile crocodiles basking in the African sun. Shoreline’s estuary boat cruise – which includes tea and coffee breaks – is a 2 hour photographic opportunity allowing one to get up close to the animals that reside here. Each vessel has a carrying capacity of 14 clients and therefore offers a personal and interactive experience.
